TGIF: Date Night

It’s Friday!  Thank goodness.  I was so exhausted I completely passed out on my flight last night and woke up as we landed, drool coming out of my mouth.  Yeah….it’s time for the weekend!

I wanted to share one of my favorite summer weekend looks: mixing gold with white.  It’s a dressy look for the weekend that is cool enough to withstand the hot midwest weather I’m dealing with.  Plus, what’s better than a shirt full of sequins?  It reminds me of a glamorous 1920’s/Great Gatsby look.

Weekend Chic: Country Club Plaza

M and I had a busy weekend working around the house (inside and out), running errands, and spending time with family. We planted flowers, weeded, and got some much-needed spring cleaning out of the way.

One of our favorite places in Kansas City is Country Club Plaza; I love the great shopping (is anything better than shopping at Halls, plus the Kate Spade and J.Crew stores are right there too) and M loves the restaurants. The weather was beautiful Saturday so we soaked it up after the week of rain and took some time to relax and explore as a reward for getting all our chores done – thank goodness!
